I’ll make this short and sweet since the Super Bowl festivities start for me in about, oh, 5 minutes. I believe that if Aaron Rodgers has time to set his feet and make throws in the pocket, the Pack win this game. It’s that simple. Without pressure on Rodgers, the Steelers cannot win this football game, regardless of whether or not Starks and the rest of the running game is stymied or not. That being said, Roethlisberger isn’t too shabby himself, so the main focus for the Packers has to be making Roethlisberger think quick; sending blitzes regularly, I believe, is really going to rattle this guy (I saw a stat somewhere that when he has been blitzed in the playoffs, he is far from as good as when he hasn’t been; imagine that, right?). Anyways, the stats are pretty eye-opening. You would think that even with the blitz, Roethlisberger would be much better than what the statistics show which is why it stuck with me. In the end, this one is going to come down to quarterback play and I believe that even with all of the big game experience that Big Ben brings to the table, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers bring the Lombardi Trophy back home to Titletown.
Prediction: Green Bay 27 – Pittsburgh 17
