Nothing says lame assed than seeing favored teams being upended on their own ass
the way it happened this past weekend in the playoffs ! As a Spurs’ fan I’m literally glad they got beaten the way that they did ! Now they know that they can’t take anything for granted simply by thinking that a record intimidates anyone !

I’m sure Dwight Howard wonders how comes the rest of his teammates other than Jameer Nelson didn’t turn up to play against the Hawks ? I guess the seance must’ve gone on longer than it was suppose to ?

Let me know what you think about the following ?

By the way I’m shying towards an NL team in terms of my allegiances when it comes to support !

    tophatal ……………..

    • Yeah, the Spurs need to do some soul-searching, but I believe the loss is the best thing that could’ve happened to them. Plus, Manu Ginobili was hurt and Tony Parker shot 4-16 from the field…and still only lost by 3 points. If I’m the Spurs, I’m calm, cool and collected as always. And the Magic pull the same shit it seems every year; it just varies from round to round.

And keep me posted on the selection of your fave baseball team, lol.

The Spurs needed that kick in the ass ! Hopefully this was their wake up call !

The Magic on their worst day would make someone suffering from erectile dysfunction seem like someone with an erection ! My God that team is a friggin’ enigma ! As for Stan Van Gundy he’s a constant pain in the a_s ! If he can’t make an excuse , bitch and whine like a woman on her period then he’s not happy.

God how I’d love to lay the pipe to her !

As for me surveying the landscape for an MLB team to support it’s getting to be like trying to make a choice between Halle Berry , Charlize Theron , Gong Li , Sanaa Lathan , Eva Mendes and Rosie O’Donnell ! I guess I’ll have to kick Rosie to the kerb then ! LOL,LOL,LOL !!!

  2. Yeah, I didn’t get to watch the game cuz I had a soccer game, but you can’t let both their bigs shoot at such a high percentage. Our bigs need to get more physical. Then again, it was game 1 and emotions run high especially for a young team who hasn’t been there before. I’m sure Pop’s gonna come up with some kind of adjustment. Also, manu is back. Should be a good series none the less.

Well now that the NBA postseason has started it looks as if Stern will still condone the ineptitude being displayed by the refs ! Click on the link shown to read this USA Today article in full .

NBA keeps coaches silent on free throws for home teams

Complaining about officiating is an NBA playoff tradition — one that sometimes comes with a monetary transfer from a coach’s bank account to the league.

After Portland Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan bemoaned the Dallas Mavericks’ 19-2 fourth-quarter advantage in free throws in Saturday’s Game 1, the NBA fined him $35,000 on Monday for “public comments about the officiating.”

    HEAT STAY HOT: Smother Sixers
ADELMAN OUT: Rockets let coach go

In the eight playoff series openers, home teams enjoyed a 256-189 edge in free throws attempted, including a 130-74 advantage in Saturday’s four games.

Philadelphia 76ers coach Doug Collins skirted the issue after his team’s Game 1 loss to the Miami Heat. Asked to address Miami’s 39-15 edge in free throws, Collins said, “I could. But my grandkids would lose their college fund.”

Though some coaches might think referees favor one team or another, style of play is probably a bigger factor.

The Heat attempted the third-most free throws in the league this season, and the Sixers were 26th. Heat forward LeBron James and guard Dwyane Wade are two of the league’s most aggressive attackers, ranking fifth and sixth, respectively, in foul shots attempted.

I think with the Rockets front office , is the fact is that they’ve seen their in state rivals the Mavericks and Spurs have had more recent success than they have in terms of playoff appearances and overall consistency. At the same time the improvements they’d been hoping for as they perceive it just hasn’t happened under Adelman . Morey will be hard pressed to find a much better coach than the person he’s just let go . I think he’ll either go after a retread such as Mike Fratello or looking at someone within the collegiate system to become the team’s next coach !

Also bear in mind I think it might also lessen the chance of Yao even returning to the team or even in light of his injury problems . How many games has be played for the Rockets over the last two plus seasons ?

      tophatal …………….

      • Yao is 100% returning to the team or retiring. You can mark that one down. Also, the Adelman situation had more to do with Les Alexander (not Daryl Morey, even though he looks to be the ‘front man’) and him not getting along than anything else. Because of that, Alexander couldn’t let go of his own ego and decided to show Adelman the door. Now, the Rockets have taken a pivotal step backwards instead of forwards. I just hope we can decide against hiring a has-been (no pun intended) and going and getting a young stud ala Spurs assistant Mike Budenholzer.

It’s got to be one or the other or can there be a third option as in there being a chance that the Rockets will have someone fly to China in search of another alleged 7′ 6″ (7 ft 6 inch ) plus Chinese phenom ? Leslie Alexander , has he been seen in public at all ? He kinda reminds me of the Orioles’ Peter Angelos ! You can’t be sure whether or not the guy suffers from narcolepsy or some other malady .

Lay off the Spurs’ coaching staff it’s bad enough that we’d lost Thibodeau with him now finding himself with the Bulls having also been assistant with Pop and Doc Rivers .

Game two between the Spurs and Grizzlies should tell us a great deal about who could well have the upper hand in the series .

I hear the Vikes are interested in looking at McNabb as their solution at the qb position ? Haven’t the Vikings learned anything after the Favre fiasco and what went on in DC between McNabb and both of the Shanahan’s ? A lot of that wasn’t merely McNabb’s fault but Mike Shanahan has let the game pass him by and his son Kyle the team’s offensive coordinator has about as much knowledge of the game as can be written on the back of a first class stamp !

    tophatal …………………………

    • Eh, the Vikes are garbage. It doesn’t matter who QB’s them next year. They won’t be relevant.

      • smurfed

McNabb wants to play but for a contender . So why the hell would he be interested in the Vikings or them being interested in him ? He’s the over the hill as are the Vikings !

    • The Spurs got really lucky tonight. I thought they played awful offensively. Too many turnovers. Manu’s energy really saved us in the first-half. That dude was everywhere on the court. They will go as far as Ginobili goes. Games 3 and 4 should be interesting….

      • jgome

Some times you need that piece of luck if you’re to make it through . But I do agree they were complacent at times and that’s down to veteran players and to an extent on Pop as the coach .

Well the momentum in games three through five will be very intriguing to say the least and the Spurs must sneak two to of the three to have the upper hand .

It’s nice to see that Selig has pulled that stick out of his ass and finally done something to show that he’s got a pair of gonads ! He’s now taking over the day to day running of the Dodgers and he ought to do the same thing before the Mets also sink like the fu_king Titanic !

        tophatal …………..
