So far The Has Beens Sports has been around for close to 7 months with over 250 posts thus far; Not bad for 5 slackers from Texas Tech. While we’d like to think that all of these posts are quality and top-notch, we are human and do tend to make mistakes (some more than others). At the same time, we have had a stroke of genius on a few occasions or predicted something beautifully. We’ve got some big things planned in 2011 so here’s a quick post to recap everyone’s best and worst posts of 2010 to round out the year.

BEST: NFL Re-Alignment
WORST: Captain Leach To The U?
Lork’s best had to be NFL Re-Alignment. It was a bit outside the box and an original idea which is why I give it the nod. It still gets some views today so I think I hit on a good subject. As for Mike Leach to Miami? I bought in to the idea a little too hard . . .

BEST: My “it’s way too early” college football top 25
WORST: WTF?!
His top 25 had a few misses, but for rankings done in May he hit the nail on the head on several teams (especially Texas A&M). As for the worst, Murph only had 1 post that stood out and it’s the random picture of Jimmy Clausen with 2 ugly girls.

BEST: More Than Just A Game
WORST: You Heard It Here First
For Josh you could put best as “any soccer post”, but in “More Than Just A Game” he came with some passion and broke outside the box which is why it gets the decision. As far as his worst, it was a good idea at heart that now is pretty laughable.

BEST: 2010-2011 College Football’s New Faces to Watch For
WORST: Where art thou’ Mustain?
Frosty hit big time when he listed Cam Newton as his new college football player to watch. Bonus points for Marcus Lattimore on the list as well. As for “Where Art Thou’ Mustain”? I’ll just say that I don’t think we’ve stopping giving him grief for this. It’s our trump card on him.

BEST: Texas Rangers Cliff Lee Contingency Plan
WORST: None . . . yet
Cole called it when he said Brandon Webb would be a good option if Cliff Lee left. Low and behold, Lee leaves and Webb joins the team. As for his worst, he hasn’t post enough to have a bad post slip in. All in due time!
